Very good.  Win all our home games(4) and all we need is one win on the road which looks good to me.  Two road wins are quite possible which would make it easier.  I think we will really not know until we play Cinci.  Everyone else except USM will have one game left and we will know where we stand.  I got my suitecase outa the attic so I "Believe"

Please word that differently.

it was a joke....

our chances are looking better and better...

Army, Cincy, ECU and Pitt are all very winnable games and winning all those would put us at bowl eligibility

Bull83 - Let's update this after today's games:

 Army 48 Cincy 29

 ECU 27 Tulane 25

UAB beat Mississipi State. USF, UL, UC, & Memphis were idle.

TCU (3-2)-  has games @UAB, Houston, @Cincy, @UL, USM, Tulane.... losing @UAB, @UL, vs USM are looking good and Houston isnt exactly a slouch.  SO they will be borderline like us.

Cincy (2-4)- UM, TCU, @USM, USF, @UL....  Unless they step it up soon, their chances look worse than ours.  They can only lose two more and with games at UL and at USM they may be done.  They then play Memphis, TCU and us at home.   [i also think they are done!]

Tulane (1-3) @UM, UAB, @UH, Navy, Army, @TCU, UL.... They have to go 5-2 in their remaining games.  UAB, @UH, Navy @TCU and UL should all be close if not losses, so maybe they are out of the picture after all. [Darn right!]

USF (2-2)- Army, @UL,  @UAB, ECU, @Cincy,  Memphis, Pitt....  All we need to do is go 4-3 in our remaining games.  Army and ECU SHOULD be easy wins.  So we need two wins out of @UL @UAB @Cincy and hosting memphis and Pitt.  I think pulling off the win at Cincy will be big in knocking them out and putting us even closer.  I think we will be 5-5 going into Pitt.  If the guys cant get up for that.... well its a sad day!

Man ain't this fun?

Definitely the Bulls got a little help today but it will all be for naught if we don't win.

Making matters worse for us in a way is whether or not Almond at USM makes it back for the next game.  I do not know the extent of his injury (hamstring) but if he is out I wonder how USM will do.

You just got to remember, the way the bowls in CUSA work is that teh #1 team goes to the Liberty Bowl and the rest get to PICK their CUSA representative.  We just need to put ourselves in a position such that there are only 5 bowl eligible teams because it is possible to be the 3rd or 4th ranked team in CUSA out of 6 bowl eligible teams and still be passed over.  It happened to UAB several years ago where they were bowl eligible and were passed over in favor of another CUSA team.  Of course that was when there were only like 3 bowl games for CUSA and they still had something like 9 teams or so.

Worth Bowl, in which case the Frogs will have some revenge.

But, USF needs to take care of its games - one at a time.  First up, Beat Army.

gracias!  hadnt had a chance to go through it yet cause i just got back from the soccer game

agreed it is down to us and TCU... I dont think head to head will really matter since bowls are not required to take the higher of the ranked teams if both are eligible, I believe.  So hopefully we will be able to distance ourselves  from them to make it a very hard choice to pass us up

If we go into the Pitt game with 6 wins, we'll get a bowl...

we can't beat UL

Just like we couldn't beat Pitt in 2001?   :-/

The probability isn't there, but it isn't absolute...  it's college football.

C-USA has a history of "beating itself up" i.e. teams knocking off teams they aren't supposed to and causing "ties" for the conference title, etc.

I really think that C-USA is going to be one big blob from 1-6 and we should be in there somewhere. I think we will be headed to New Orleans after finishing 6-5. I hope so, cuz I wanna go ...

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
