change is good.  alverado is one hell of a punter and should focus on his talents there.

bonani might be good but it may take some time.  let's not chew this guy up the moment he misses a couple of field goals.

will be interesting to see what he can do.  best of luck.

yeah right-- this crowd is SOOOOOOOOO patient.

if he isn't instantly making field goals--- trust me-- Tampa area fans will jump off his bandwagon faster than anything.

Have you ever heard of the expression "the fans favorite QB in Tampa is the second string QB"?

hope this change works-- I'm thinking the effectiveness of either kicker was about the same in practice, therefore I am not expecting some miracle immediately. Good luck Bonani-- you have my full support-- just as any USF player would.

Anyone who boos if he gets off to a rough start is a moron for two reasons.  First hes a true freshman kicker in his first game.  Second we don't have a better option on the team.  Giving the kid a chance is the last thing we can do to try to improve the unit and if it doesn't work we just have to accept that we can't count on field goals, again.

Exactly, anyone who boos a true freshman starting his first ever game in a "big time" match-up is a fool. Personally he sounds like the next Gramatica, i hope.

Thank god leavitt is taking him out! I'm a little concerned about bonani going 6-10 during the 'battle' at practice.

From everything Ive heard about Delbert hes usually pretty darn good at practice but for whatever reason it doesn't carry over to the game.  Practice isn't always the best barometer for how someone will perform in a game, hence the birth of the term "gamer".  Either way all we can do is hold our breath cheer for Bonani when he's in and hope he can elevate the unit.  He's a true freshman so there will be bumps in the road lets just hope those come after this Friday, and when it does inevitably happen lets pick him up instead of knocking him down.

It is time for the change and I hope he does well.  I don't know many punters who handle place kicking as well

Boy I wish him well...after watching that video again I hope he has changed his steps before striking the ball.  that little step hesitation is going to get a lot of balls blocked.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
