Sad.....

Call it what you want or call it being spoiled from last year but if we can't sell this game out, it is sad

It's not that sad..It's the 2nd game against a non-conf on a Friday night..If it were a Saturday, different story...Furthermore, if we win and keep builiding momentum, USF will get more cred and more fans...

It's a top 15 Team regardless if it is out of conference

Is that really the mentality of the Tampa Bay area.

Explains the empty seats at Rays games too

The Rays games are empty because its played in St. Pete, about 20+ miles from Tampa.

I think the attendance is good considering its a Friday night with a lot of people taking their kids to their HS Football games...

Never thought I'd see the day when an expected crowd that's 5000 larger than our biggest crowd ever for TEN FREAKING YEARS disappoints people.

I guess it's good that our expectations are higher now, but... WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

The top 5 home attendances are as follows: (announced)

67,012 #5 W Virginia, Sep 29th, 2007

65,948 UCiF, Oct 13th, 2007

57,379 Cincinnati, Homecoming Nov 3rd, 2007

57,288 Louisville, Nov 17th, 2007

49,212 Kentucky Wesleyan, first game Sep 6th, 1997

So, the question is, can the Kansas game beat out Louisville, Cincy or both?

BTW, the other two games in 2007 were Elon (33,639 - 16th) and N. Carolina (37,753 - 10th).

My prediction is an announced crowd of 60,371.  ;)

Greg has an update:

-- Another ticketing update: USF reported Thursday afternoon that 54,000 tickets have been distributed for Fridays' game. Again, the reasonable target now looks to be last year's Louisville and Cincinnati games, which were in the low 57s ... top those and it'll be the third-largest home crowd in USF history.
