Well, the KU vs. MU rivalry goes beyond the schools and the Big 12 and has roots in the Civil War.  Pro-Slavery raiders from Missouri rode into Lawrence and burned it to the ground because it was an anti-slavery stronghold. The Civil War may have been long ago, but the Border War continues.

Merrils Mauraders ?  or something like that.

Leavitt gets the HAIR jokes. LOL

I don't remember too many non-conference fans, other than UCF and some from BAMA, who acted like a-holes on this board. Maybe my memory is failing.

i could invite some mizzou fans here for ya if you wanna talk to some @ssholes.

Well, that's not all surprising since they are in your conference. We never played them, although Leavitt said he would love doing so since he played for them.

We did play one of your other conference teams, Oklahoma, and their fans were great. I'm not sure what your relationship is with them.

never had any issues with OU fans.  It's not a rivalry with MU, it's a hatred and it gets pretty nasty, ie> them making fun of coaches/players dead family members at games with signs.

Similar to the UCF fans chanting "meningitis" before the game in Tampa last year....low rent stuff

Yeah I'd also like to say thanks.  It's been a while since we had fans that didn't try to stir something up if you disagreed with them.  Virginia Tech didn't really even bother talking last year because they thought that game was in the bag.  But you all have been a real class act and whatever happens in this game Friday I wish you the best of luck the rest of the season.

OU must have won, because otherwise you'd have a different opinion of their fans.  ;)

Also I know you guys are good buc fans too so don't give Aqib Talib too much grief for being on the Kansas sideline Friday night.

I'll be sure to boo him when I see him.  ;) Although maybe I should thank him, if he wasn't on the board, the Bucs might have taken Mike Jenkins instead of my Cowboys

we don't blame Aqib for being a Buc.  we blame the Bucs for not picking the hometown guy, Mike Jenkins, when they had the chance.

no beef with Aqib whatsoever.  it's gotta be amazing for him to welcome his old teammates into his new house.
