Grothe and the Play Clock

Ok, so here is my question...Does Grothe not know how to see a play clock? Bad coaching aside, when we are trying to run out the clock he routinely starts the play with 10-15 seconds left on the play clock. He is a junior now and clock management should be a basic concept. Why on earth is this fundamental part of football so hard for him? BTW - I love Grothe, I just am baffled as I have seen him do this for 2+ years now.

We all love Matt....  This is a Dead Horse we have been beating for 3 years!.....  I have no idea why he is in such a hurry when we are leading...  Hell if the backup is capable of handing right, handing left, then let's get him in there... Grothe is the key to our team, if he ever learns how to ice the game by milking the clock the world would be a better place!
