I wish WVU didn't loose to Middle Temple Terrace Tech.

This is the biggest game so far, but you can't call it the biggest game of the season. The biggest game of the season will be the one that would clinch a The BE Title and a BCS bowl berth. At which point the BCS Bowl would become the biggest game of the season.

I don't think we will know the true importance of this game until later in the season.  If KU does well in the Big 12 conference play then it will mean alot more.  Beating or at least splitting with TX and Ok will be big for them and indirectly for us.  I know you can't do the we beat them and they beat etc - but it will show how good KU is.  The problem with this game is as one sports writer wrote -" 19 USF vs 14 KU - just thought I would never write that."  Both of these programs have no long history of being in the elite of college football so the game is not getting the attention it might otherwise.

Each game we play will be the biggest of the season - longer the win streak the bigger the game.

As far as rankings go, this is by far our biggest game. I'm glad we have the opportunity to play Kansas while they are ranked high before they go through the gauntlet that is the big 12. I wish Kansas luck, after we are done playing them.

Winning the Big East is the goal but winning out of conference show how impressive winning the Big East is and the BE is allready working from a defecit this year.

Either way once this game is done we will have to pull for Kansas - if we win then it will bump us up in the polls - if we loose then it will give us some slack on recovering lost ground.

In that respect its a whooper.  :o

play like we did last week, and we won't beat KU...

That's what I said about KU after the first two games. The running game hasn't shown itself yet, and the offense keeps wasting red zone opportunities (a problem late last season as well).

The Kansas game is very important but is greatly over shadowed by winning the BE.  All BE games are far more important to me than the KU game.  Beating Kansas will not be near the boost in revenue or recruiting that winning the BE would be.  If we win the BE this year our program is going to explode.

The KU game may or may not be the biggest game of the season depending on how things play out in the Big East.

Since conference games haven't started, I'll say the KU game is the biggest game of the season, because of the momentum it will create for us one way or another.

Beat KU and we are ranked in the top 15.

Lose to KU and we are out of the top 25.

Considering that we play two weak OOC teams following KU, winning against them will still move us up in the polls, IF we had beaten KU. Wins over them would not put us back in the rankings, iF we had lost to KU.

So, starting conference play we would get a significant boost in attendance and in recruiting if we beat KU and are ranked about #12 with a 5-0 record.

We would have more confidence and momentum and that should translate on the field in better results in conference play.

We saw last year how losing @RU was a real momentum killer and carried over the next couple of games.

So, the KU game doesn't directly impact our conference record, but there is an indirect benefit which it has that's difficult to quantify.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
