I'm pretty sure it won't be used all the time but I like the wrinkle...and it gives other teams something to gameplan for

I'm not crazy about the formation.  I think the whole purpose of that formation is to set up some sort of WR screen.  We didn't pull the trigger on the screen in the UCF game but it has to be there.

That quad  "diamond" formation was in our playbook under Smith.

I was watching a replay of the Kansas-La Tech game and Kansas also runs some diamond formation.

If it helps in the USF Dead (Red) Zone I am all for it. Diamond, Ruby, Gonad any formation/position that gives us TD's instead of FG ATTEMPTS I love it.

What exactly would the gonad formation look like? I thought I heard that Houston Nutt was putting that one in at Mississippi State. Aaron Ball from Villanova is and Daniel Ball from Brown are transferring in next year to line up on the right and left side respectively.

I think you mean Petrino at Arkansas is putting that in. You could have the Ball's on either side of Casey ****, the starting qb.

Yep. At least two times per game. They also have a formation where they stack three receivers on one side (front to back) and have a fourth on the opposite side. It's either a decoy or a screen. It's safe to assume that 90% of the time it will be a quick screen.

Please Get Rid of It.....................Never worked.  I don't know if we were setting something up or not, but I never saw it work.

And when we are milking the clock we need to snap the ball with only a few seconds left on the play clock.  I noticed there were times we snapped the ball with 15 seconds left on the play clock.  We're defeating the purpose by doing that.  C'mon, lets get our act together and play a complete game, Offense, Defense, Special Teams, and Coaching.  We can only beat ourselves in my humble opinion.

t

you need a qb with a rocket arm for these type formations
