Grothe gets Big East Offensive Player of the Week honors

well deserved.  Defense and special teams let us down this week and allowed the OT to occur.  Grothe and the O saved the day.

I agree the defense let us down by allowing this game to go into OT, but we won this game because of the defense! If they hadn't stop them short in OT, who knows who would have won!

Wrong.

There is a time to attack, and a time to play smart.  The only way UCF gets back in that game was by giving them momentum and a short field to work with.  Their offense had done NOTHING for 56 minutes.  USF had already run the ball for a first down on the drive that ended in the INT.  UCF knew it was coming and hadn't stopped the run yet.  So, keep pounding it and run the clock.  If they stop you, so what.  Punt the ball out of bounds - away from Burnett, the only real UCF threat.  They would have less than 2 mins left, and need to go 70 yards with zero timeouts when, again, they had done NOTHING on O all night.

Wrong!  Yeah whatever!

I like it when a team doesn't back down and ATTACK, ATTACK, and ATTACK!!!! No mercy!

That's how the Bulls blew them out last year at Ray Jay. With a 2 TD lead, forget about pounding it, I would've loved to have shoved it down their throats.

GAWD I HATE UCF.

I haven't heard much talk anywhere about the fact that on USF's first possesion of the 2nd quarter Grothe ran the much talked about (by Gator fans) "Tim Tebow play". You know, the one where he takes the snap in a Shotgun / Spread formation and takes two steps and leans forward as if it's a planned QB run up the middle and then stops and steps back and throws deep. It didn't quite work (great breakup by the UCF DB) but I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw this. This could be one heck of a devastating play in upcoming games because he looks as comfortable running it as Tebow does. If in fact this play has been run before and I missed it (I didn't get to see the Tenn-Martin game), I aplogize.

Congrats to Matt, well deserved (not saying much in our putrid conference though).

And the Defense was great the majority of the night.  UCF could never score on us if they had to go over 50 yards.  Well done.

And I agree, KEEP ATTACKING.  Geez, we could have put those guys away well before that Grothe pick, but we got too **** conservative.  KEEP ATTACKING BULLS..................NO PRISONERS, AND NO QUARTER!!!
