As others have said... polls are as much about results as they are expectations.  USF failed to live up to some pollsters expectations...

I you look at this thread, you can see that many pollsters dropped us a few places, while a few others moved us up one..

So...we beat UCF on the road...and lost 2 spots in the AP Poll...where do we sign for the long term contract? They are right, now I see why this is a great game for us to be in.  :

They beat the defending ACC and Big East champs....rather handily. Last year, we beat a pretty good SEC team and the defending Big East champs....both in hard fought games....and were in the top 10.

So yes, they should be higher.

Umm, depends if you ask me. First reaction is to say 'no'. Our goal is to win the BE and go to a BCS game.

Thinking about it though, I think it may define our season. A loss doesn't ruin our season as it has no bearing on 'the goal', but if we win, we may reexamine our goals and open the door to a bigger prize.

If we win, there is a lot to be excited about, but a loss isn't the worst thing that could happen to us this year (that would be a loss to Rutgers, we better kick the **** out of them).

I didn't think we would drop but I guess they didn't like the overtime victory to ucf along with blowout wins by penn st,east carolina, and Oregon passed us.
