Anyone think UCF got homered?

Those Big East refs were awful, and they really stuck it to UCF. They got the last call right, but they made some really lousy ones too.

Still... UCF didn't deserve to win the game. The only thing that got it to overtime was Leavitt and Gregory turning into a couple of five-year-olds playing Xbox 360 at the demo kiosk in GameStop during the last four minutes of the game.

Agreed, Ucif was playing like a bunch of thugs. There were calls (flags) that ref.s did not call on them. I can't count the times they face-masked and never were flaged among other infractions.

UCF got some calls agains tthem because they were jacked up emotionally and were overly aggressive.  They had some cheap shots (maybe not intentionally, but still cheap).  Those were the kinds of things that used to happen to us.  It's the sign of a young team in a big game.  UCF had at least 3 pretty cheap shots that I could think of of the top of my head.

I think some of the calls were questionable... but UCF shot itself in the foot enough legitimate times they have only themselves to blame.

And that #40 should have been TOSSED.

UCF got screwed on some big calls as well.

We outplayed UCF, no question of that, but there's also no question that the referees prevented UCF from capitalizing on all of our mistakes by bad calls.

The personal fouls that should have been offset that was instead called just on UCF. The clear late hit out of bounds against USF that they picked up, those type of things can change the complextion of the game. Don't kid yourself, we would be ******** to no end (as we have done in the past) if we had calls go against us like UCF did tonight. Knights will complain about it, and I really can't blame them. This is not to say the refs cost them the game, but the first half could have been completely different without those calls.
