I'm with you.  People think these guys go out there and don't do their best, or that they should be cut or sent of to Southern Idaho in a 5 player deal.  It's college football, I think some fail to understand that all the time.

In practice - no.  In game situations when the pressure is on - they couldn't have done much worse.  I guess our field goal attempts at least got past the line of scrimmage so that UCF couldn't run them back for touch downs.

What angers me is the seemingly lack of improvement. Once again he misses the easy shots, but then he'll make a long one. Since I was in the stands it was hard to tell, but imagine the blocked FG was because he waited to long to get the kick off. Then the missed field goal... I don't think he's caused the team to lose yet, but he's "almost" cost us wins too many times now... Good luck to Alvarado, I really hope he's getting a worthwhile degree.

Why did Grothe only get his shot once Julmiste went down with an injury? You mean a freshman QB was better than a two-year starter QB? So is it possible that a freshman kicker is better than a two-year starter kicker?

And practice is different than a real game. Obviously.

This isn't about bashing Alvarado. He is doing the best he can, and I appreciate his effort. This is about the coaching decision to start him.

I am the type of fan that never talks anything bad about a player.  But I am OVER Alvarado.  Had he made his made his FG's last year we would have done better... And his 2 missed FG's today almost cost us the game.  I am done.  He needs to be replaced by someone that can make FG's!!  I don't know who, but....it needs to be done.

jackass-- at least say what a knowledgeable fan might say-- FIND a new place kicker. You don't cut a good punter. I won't deny that this last kick was one of those-- You are a Goat or a Hero. But I alo don't know what we were doing-- we stop the clock with a pass into the dirt. You have 15 seconds left, a timeout, and atleast one more play you can run to get closer or even score. But we get a delay of game, supposedly on purpose-- and kick from further away.

I'm sorry but I do not understand anything we did in the last 4 minutes of this game.
