Greg Gregory outcoached himself. Throwing on second down when we were running out the clock is inexcusible. UCF had no business coming back like that, but they took advantage of poor coaching.

Why oh why did we throw that pass?  What were we thinking?

Gregory and Leavitt should give back part of their paycheck for this one.  1st year high school coaches do not make the same errors as they did in the last 5 minutes of the game tonight.

It's not a matter of a vanilla offense.  It just seemed like Gregory had no clue at all that all we needed to do was to run the clock down.  Why would you call a pass on 2nd down when all you need to do is run the clkock out. Then in the last series  why throw a pass at all?  Just run the ball then m,ake them use their last TO.  Game management by Gregory is non existent.  I now have little confidence in him coming down the stretch.  He is great on the opening drives of a half, but after that he is questionable.

and why take richard kelly out late in the game on one of our drives when all he was doing was running over people

We will not have a potent offense until we get a big time O co ordinator instead of has beens and up and comers. There is a big reason why Gregory left I U. His plays are worse that a Pop Warner Team. Too predictable. I thought they learned a lesson from the brilliant play calling scheme that Oregon put on us last year. If not, we had better go back and look at the tapes. Or else buckle in folks, it will be a bumpy season! Gregory needs to grow a pair or take his game to the high schools and Pop Warner fields!  Reaper

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
