unfortunately either fast food or something at RJS...  My daughter has a soccer tournment/game in Sarasota at 5.  I figure game is over by 6:30, I can be at RJS by 7:30 to catch the start of the second quarter.

Yes, I'm cutting it close, but I cannot miss the opening game.  BTW, I had a choice of going to Cocoa Beach with my other daughter for her soccer tournament, and taking my youngest, but gave that up and had to pick up concession volunteering (4 hours) at the Sarasota tournment - just so I could go to the USF game...  I'll be at soccer fields from 8 am to 6:30, before I head to RJS.... It will be a long day.

I just couldn't miss this game.

my usual tailgate is burgers with fajita seasoning, try it out sometime.

My dad makes a rad flank steak with some good sauce and some sesame teriyaki wings, which reminds me, I need to bring him out this year...

This week is chips, cheeburgers, pasta salad, brownies.  We rotate and do chicken, ribs, shrimp.

No one has mentioned bringing beverages  ???

To that end we'll have some beer, green & gold jello shots (they are somewhere between food and beverage, no?) and some Ciclon for the new ice shot glasses.

Every one of you should have beer brats on your menu. They are THE football tailgating food.

Rotate if you wish, just make sure brats are in the rotation. :)

The main item on the menu this week will be chicken. I'm sure that your normal grill items (burgers, dogs, cheddarwurst, etc) will also find their way onto the grill. We will also have the Chicken Quesadilla ring JerseyBull referenced earlier, along with an assortment of snacks. For you chip fans I suggest the Cape Cod Robust Russet chips......good stuff right there.

For beverages there will be at least 1 keg, probably a couple of bottles, some sodas and water. With Shoop in attendance there will probably be "blue stuff", which provides us with classic moments such as this:

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
