student considering season tickets

if there is a waiting list for tenn martin, I have a feeling that it could get crazy... I am considering buying season tickets... I'm a junior right now and I'll be buying season tickets when I graduate regardless. My family has 4 tix in chick fil a section. I don't really want to sit with them. Any recommendations?

Really?  A wait list for TN Martin?  Did you request your ticket early?  Since you're a junior I wouldn't be too worried about it, you have more chances of getting tickets then the sophomores and freshmen.

I got my season tickets before I graduated, but after football season was over.  I graduated may 07, so it wasn't as crazy as it was now.

So....I would say, if you're really THAT worried -- get season tickets, but I don't think it will be that big a deal.  If you get them you can always sell them if you end up getting a student ticket.

I don't think you'll have a problem getting stu tix to TNM.

If I were a student, the only thing I would worry about is not being able to get season tickets in the lower 2 sections by the time graduation roles around.

If you don't mind sitting in the 300 level, then you should wait and get stu tix while you can.

I don't know if it's in place, but I think students who want season tix should get a student discount.  You should at least get the discount that new alums get.

New Alums get a discount?  I didn't get one.  I joined the New Alumi Program which deals with donation amounts, but season tickets are not discounted.

You should be fine for right now. I'm pretty sure you signed up for SBC, so that will put you ahead of the majority of the rest of the students as far as loyalty points go.

I bought season tickets last year while still a student right before the UNC game (right before everything exploded) and I can't describe how glad I was that I did it. Granted, I was a masters student, so I was able to take advantage of the new alumni pack being that I had completed my undergrad shortly before that. I still think it's worth the peace of mind if you're a superfan and can't stand the risk of not being able to attend a home game.

I hated sitting in the south endzone. If I ever tried standing up during a 3rd down when our d was on the field or offense was close to the endzone everyone would yell at me. I just ignored them. There were some cool people that I met during the UCF game and WVU game last year. I sat there for 4 years while I was in high school because the football coach would always get me tickets even though I wasnt on the team. I'm glad I'll be sitting in the student section.
