You didn't mention Selvie.  No way he's here after this season...might as well be a senior too.

One of my good friends' roommate is George's fraternity brother. He says that George says his parents won't let him leave early.

Selfishly, George Selvie's parents just became my new favorite people.

Yeah, really.  I'm not getting my hopes up, but that would sure help the moving on of McKenzie, Mompremier, and 3 senior safeties (unless this Verpaele extra year comes through).  Oh, and Buie, of course, but I'm hoping by then Marshall, Bedford, Hampton, etc have stepped up.

Please stay, Selvie!

32    Williams, Carlton  S  6-4  210  Sr.  Valdosta, GA (Valdosta HS)

Now this is he heaviest SR class in a long time.

Positions we'll be heavily looking for immediate help are:

- O-Line, all positions.

- Safety, especially IF Allen leaves early.

- Losing 2 sarters a LB is tough.

I count 15 major losses of he 22 departing Seniors. I do feel good about all 3 positions being filled for 2009.

usf should have better players ready to step in

unless leavitt and staff havent done their job in recruiting

In my experience, it is VERY unlikely that the NCAA will grant Verpaele another year since he redshirted in 2007.

The biggest concern in 2009 has to be O-Line.  I really want to see USF sign some 4-5 star linemen who can come in right away and play.  I know the walk-ons have been working hard, but that projected lineup just doesn't give me confidence.

we should have 4 and 5 star olineman on squard now

staff hasnt done a good job recruiting olineman

Neither will Nate Allen's parents. They both are HS teachers. I think one is a principal.

I expect Allen & Selvie to stay for their SR years.

I think it's easy to see what our Priority is on Offense.

Skill position players we lose 2 WR's(Johnson & Edwards), 1 TE(Hill) and 1 RB(Williams).

OL, we lose 4 starting O-Linemen.

Stop dreaming guys.  If Selvie follows up Friday night with a few more games on TV like that, you can kiss him goodbye.  All it takes is one look at a guy like Tom Brady to make that decision change...Millions GUARANTEED NOW or risk it all and risk losing money next year if for some reason he doesn't do better.  We better be looking for his replacement fellas..

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
