What's our best chance to get ESPN's Game Day to come to USF?

Best chance for this year would be if USF and RU are both undefeated.  It could be a regionally televised game by ABC and the ESPN crew would love to advertise one of their games for primetime.  Just a guess.

are there other factors considered by Game Day aside from the game itself?

I would think the game would have to be a sell out before they decided to do a show from that location and that there would have to be some gurantee that the area they will be broadcasting from will open early enough for people to get in. - don't think this would be an issue with the given presumption that the only way it'd be here is if both teams were undefeated but just curious.

Maybe...just maybe...if we do what we're supposed to do they'll be here because of USF and not because of someone else.

Nearly every CGD for the past 2 years has been a matchup between two ranked teams, so I wouldn't count on us alone being a draw against a lackluster opponent.

The Auburn/UGA weekend is an ESPN priority on the SEC contract. So I would expect the oldest rivalry in the south to bethe gameday game so long as at least one team is ranked high

Doubtful...

The same weekend as the Rutgers game are the following:

#1 Georgia at #10 Auburn

#2 Ohio State at #20 Illinois

#11 Texas at #14 Kansas

However, if Rutgers and USF are both undefeated... then we might have a chance.

Yeah but you're using pre-season rankings.  Presume us and RU are undefeated heading into our showdown, well UGA probably won't be #1 with their gauntlet schedule before that weekend, KU would be lucky if they're ranked, and Auburn's got a brutal schedule this year too.

Those three have a shot, but if we're both undefeated you're probably staring at a top 10 USF and top 15 RU team.  That would be right up there in terms of luster especially when you recall that RU soldout and stormed the field when they beat us last year and the margin of victory the past two years has been less than 3 pts.

Of course rankings will change... but there are three games involving teams good enough to be ranked and Rutgers is not...

So, all things being equal, those games carry more possibility of getting GameDay than RU @ USF...

Moreover, Rutgers won't be undefeated... they will lose to Fresno State and WVU at least... and maybe Cincy and Pitt as well.

Maybe...just maybe...if we do what we're supposed to do they'll be here because of USF and not because of someone else.

When was the last time GameDay went somewhere because of one school?  USF @ Army because of Army.  GameDay goes where the big GAME is... so there has to be a someone else.

Kansas and Pitt would be good picks, if they weren't on weekdays.

I haven't looked at the WVU vs. USF schedule, I think its on conference week?

But if we are both undefeated, then there's a chance with that one.
