And to add a 3rd reason, I think they want the West Side for Season Packages.  Once Tn Martin is done, they will start selling some other packages I'm guessing.

A friend of mine bought some on stubhub.  I told him to quit dicking around and get season tickets and he did.  Tack two more on to that number.

I assume they only sell the East Side first for 2 reasons; 1) An upper deck with people in it looks better from the home side fans and on television as the cameras are on the home side, and 2) If they are only going to sell one side (to save on cleaning and Bucs additional fees), the East Side has the student overflow section which they will need to open anyhow for all games this year.  Looking at ticketmaster, it appears they have also sold a few of the $25 tickets (the $5 promotion) as an offer for 8 tickets is back to row R in section 338.  I would guess 45,000 is announced as "distributed" tickets.

I was going to predict 44 - 47K for this one....fans and alike are salivating for a game with L'Ville being killed at home for the last game we are hungry

Bring them to a game... I've turned a few people that way.

Then point out that the only way to get seats in the lower level is with season tickets... and then tell them the only way to guarantee tickets to the big games (Kansas & Pitt this year, Miami and WVU next year) is to get season tickets...

If that doesn't work, then there isn't anything you can do.

I've taken two of them to many games, and they went to Fan Fest with us, but I just can't get them over the last hurdle. I think that now I might actually need to not take them to any games this year, and let them see how much they miss it. "Now that you've tasted the action you can't resist."

Thanks.  My friend goes to plenty of games.  He really didnt know that season tix were affordable.  H paid $80 for a pair of tickets for one game.  I sent him the link to pricing for the season. I think he spent $280 for a pair of season tix, section 131.

Works all the time. I got 4 buddies to buy 5 season tix with that argument, which is true. Why waste precious tailgating time scalping tickets when you can have your own?
