Tennessee-Martin Game: "ESPN Regional" --What does that mean?

Being that it's on ESPN Regional, does this mean that ABC28 in Tampa will pick up the game as it has done in years past with our 1-AA opponents?

I would expect that NewsChannel 8 might pick up games (as Matt said this one is on Catch 47).  The Jim Leavitt show moves to Channel 8 this year -- part of the deal with the Tampa Tribune.

when does the Leavitt show air, Jim? is it pretty much the same except the channel?

Is this the end of Al Keck doing the broadcast?

Yes. No more Al Keck. Not sure of the time... Brett mentioned the change in his blog post announcing the new deal with the Trib.  Didn't see the official release.

i doubt you will see any usf games on ch 8.  The big east relationship with espn/abc pretty much trumps the relationship between tampa trib/wfla ch 8/tbo.com

I don't think we need to bash Al Keck here. I cannot recall him ever being an ass to USF

Other than somehow knowing less about USF than most UCF fans... he was never terrible to USF.  The man could not call a game to save his life.

I liked Keck though... he was very kind and cordial to us in Charlotte when we met him.

I liked Al Keck on the show... His spray-on hue of orange got a bit annoying, but he did a decent job.

I guess I have a sour taste in my mouth (still) from the early days of our football program when I remember him saying some not-so-kind things about our start-up. He changed his tone over the years. If my exposure had been limited to the last few years then perhaps I'd have a different opinion.
