Any idea when the baseball stadium renovations may start? That should be the #1 goal for USF athletic facilities.

The current stadium is comparable to University of Tampa's....

I was told that Softball will be one year, and baseball is after that.  So, I'm guessing two years for the new Baseball field.

A few things...

1. Does USF play the lottery?

2. We all have heard from USF... we want to build something nice and UCF's stadium, as an example, is not an option.

3. Smazza, the state is not going to pay for the stadium.

After going to the Carrier Dome for last year's game, I'm convinced that whenever we do get around to building an OCS, it should be a domed stadium to replace the Sun Dome. Something that can be used for both basketball and football, not to mention indoor volleyball, Ice Bulls, etc. A domed, convertible OCS like this would get a LOT more use, year-round. Of course, I think it should be bigger and nicer than Syracuse's 49,262 for football and 33,633 for basketball. More like 75k and 50k, with lots of club boxes for the high-rent income.

Absolutly not. Football is ment to be played outdoors.

OK, make it a retractable roof, get the best of both worlds.

Not to mention an indoor practice facility and a nice big hurricane shelter.

Hope y'all don't get hit too hard by Fay, looks like the Keys came out OK.

I would love to have an indoor practice facility, but I think that if we build an OCS, its gotta be an open air. If we had an indoor practice facility, Fay wouldnt be an issue!  >:D
