The only way BBQ should start is if we run 5 wide on first and second down and need to pass on third down.

Taylor is very good, Alabama would not have recruited him if he wasn't.  Also, Taylor has a state and national championship when he played at Lakeland High School and when that team needed the tough yards up the middle or three yards for the first down it wasn't Rainey who got the ball it was Taylor.  The kid is tough and good don't sell him short b/c Ford gets the hype.

That's a pretty deep backfield.  It's tough to have a feature back with that much talent....Plancher is the 5th best?  Ford #3?  I'm happy with all that...Ford will see plenty of action this year and I guess so will everybody else listed there.

give me a superstar back over backfield by committee every time

I spoke with Ben on Saturday.  I think the guy is ready to play and showing it to the coaches.

Taylor looked great and seemed anxious as well.

Ford, not so much.

My guess, they are positioning them all and want Ford to step up.  You can lead a horse to water but....   He will need to step up and show he wants to play without someone just giving him the starting position.  Thats how it works.  

If you ask me, you will see the top 4 - 5 backs get some play time in the first game, and they will hone that down for the second game against UCF.  by the third game, it will be clear who the featured backs are.

I hope so, but doubt it.  We'll most likely see 4 backs all year and 5 in games we dominate

agreed. only team williams might do anything is florida international. he isnt in the same league as ford and taylor as far as talent
