call me stupid if I think ford is our best option lol. I think Jamar is a star as well. I just don't see how mike ford is such a inferior blocker. His size alone is enough to block. The offseason and camp he has had to improve knowing where to be and picking up the blocks. I can't see him that much being the complete package that is Ben Williams.

It's not that he is not capable of blocking.  You need to be able to understand the playbook, the checkdowns and read the defense so you actually understand who you are supposed to pick up to block, which side of the line to be on, etc...  You can be the greatest blocker on the planet, but it doesn't help if your assignment is to pick up the guy on one side of the line and you are standing on the wrong side of the QB.  That was the problem last year.

Let's hope he knows the playbook and improved in his technique well enough to make more of an impact all around.
