Different years...completely different BULLS team.  We know that...

I doubt that Kansas is quite the same too...they did throw 76(or something like that) on Nebraska last year.

This is gonna be a great game...

GO BULLS!!!

I hope that Murphy, Roberts, and Butler are learning every nuance that Todd Reesing and his WR corps has. That is my only concern going into this game. I hope that there weak O-Line with offset our inexperienced CB's.

Defensively for Kansas, aren't they in the same boat with the loss of Talib and a few other defensive starters?

Anyone know how many starters they lost on defense that year to see how are offense with matchup with there defense?

I remember listening to the first game on the radio and our defense could not get off the field. I can remember thinking 'holy crap, thats their 47th 3rd down and long conversion'. I think we will be better at home, have more talent, and our offense should be able to do some damage.

Is it August 30th yet?

I am looking forward to a great game.

Definitely completely 2 different USF teams.  Remember, when we played at KU 2 years ago that was Grothe's first away game  (other than UCF) and first against a BCS team.  Also, don't forget our great RB situation going into that game.  Our RBs starting that game consisted of 2 walk ons and a true freshman that had only played in 2 prior games each vs. D1 schools.  The difference in experience going into this game this year is so different for us than it was then.

As great as Reesing is, I really can't wait to play him this year.  First of all there a re several new OL playing.  Also, he didn't play against any pass defenses that were ranked within the top half of the country.  A lot of his success came against teams that were ranked in the bottom 25% of the nation.  They still have a good offense, but this game is very winnable.

I sure do hope so. I am pulling for our Bulls, don't get me wrong. I guess by only basis that I have is just the highlights clips of Kansas last year on ESPN and it's not like there has been any Big 12 vs. Big East games to gauge their level of play vs. ours.

"The Bulls threatened to score on the game's first possession, but Grothe was stuffed for a 1-yard gain on fourth-and-2 from Kansas' 3."

That was a huge momentum killer.

I remember Leavitt saying that he got wrong info on how far we really had to go in order to make a first down and he went for it. Had he known the true distance he would have gone for the field goal.

It ultimately comes down to getting pressure on Reesing.  If Selvie and company are knocking Reesing around our new corners will be fine.  If Reesing has time he'll pick them apart.  So this becomes a game that the DL has to play well for us to win.

I remember that after the game Leavitt was kind of irritated.  Rod Smith and Gregory both told Leavitt it was less than a yard to go.

That game was painful to watch.  It was the day I moved from Tampa back to Lakeland.
