We have no more than 25000 season ticket holders at this point. Filling 50,000 while mximizing booster donations would be more ideal than just throwing up a 75000 seat stadium.

We have about 1/5 that number, Joe.  25,000 tickets and 5,000 ticket holders (with each holder buying 4 to 5 tickets each).

However, I disagree.  My guess is that USF will be selling out RayJay before the stadium gets built - which means we could sell out a 65,000-seat OCS.  That would be the number I would start with.

50,000 would be too low... sure, it creates more demand and thus could raise required donations to buy tickets... but that could be a problem, especially for those who are grandfathered in at RayJay.  If donation levels rise faster than the fan base can support them, the stadium will not be full.

That being said, a smaller stadium would be more ideal to keeping donations in.

Schools like UF, LSU, and Oregon could easily sell out thousands more than their stadiums hold. However, to be a new season ticket holder at UF and LSU you have to give at least 12000 at this point.

USF would make a lot more tryin to sell 35000 (or so) season tix in  50000 seat stadium than 50000 season tix in 65000 seat stadium.

the schools drawing 75000 are pretty solid.  but eh, i guess thats why we aren't building yet.

If we're continually selling out a 65K RJS by the time a new stadium is build, I just don't see a 50K stadium being built.  It would be closer to the 65K figure.  You would be taking away 15k seats that are currently being sold (if they continue to sell out).  USF won't build a 50k stadium, it will be a little larger, probably in the 55-65K range to start with.

I like the way their stadium looks from the outside. And I definitly prefer the enclosed look as opposed to a horseshoe; it gets much louder.

Horseshoes have so much better airflow...  Just ask someone who has been to Orange Bowl vs. Dolphin Stadium.  Orange Bowl was so much cooler.

Miami has won several NCs and they don't sell out their games. Big city teams = bandwagon fans. Hopefully we can just win every year from now on.
