Banks isn't the only problem, but tend to agree about what Howie said regarding our future at QB.

We have 2 fine QB's coming and MAYBE they will be an upgrade ... expect it, but we have to look at THIS season.

Julmiste has shown that he is on the same level as Banks ... but can Gachette be any worse? Gachette played in a decent offense I BULLieve in HS and Julmiste played in a wing T

Go BULLS !!!

Gachette is a true freshman with no experience in the program.

And you think PJ makes bad decisions?  :o At least PJ has a couple years with the program under his belt.

I know what you mean MM, but look at what we've seen ... I just hope the coaches are looking at him for the possibility ... I saw Leak last season and 2 guys in Knoxville work as True FR ... if he's not, of course we NEED to stick with the 2 we have.

Back to another thread ... we NEED to run more than pass though  :-/

Go BULLS !!!

I don't think I would say that Banks should never play for us again, but I don't think that he should be our starter.    I do think changes have to be made, though, because nothing seems to work.  One thing I really hate is our super short passing game.  I'm listening on the radio and here that Banks has completed a pass, I'm waiting for the announcer to say we've made the first down, and it turns out to be a 3 or 4 yard gain.  What ever happened to the 15-20 yd routes?

One thing for sure with our dismal offense we need to run the clock as much as possible.  Maybe we should go to a wishbone option style and just run every play.

OK I was at the game and Banks is worse now than he was last year.  Why?

1. He looks completely rattled before the snap. Seems like he has no idea what is going on.

2.  He looks at his primary receiver and no one else. Ever! He is the king of telegraphing his passes.

3. His short passes (almost entirely in the flat to receivers with no blocking), are weak and often inaccurate. This results in the 3-4 yard gains you heard in the broadcast.

4. His long passes are rainbows which take so long to reach the receiver that there is usually double coverage. USC could easily have had 3 interceptions instead of just one.

5. He had all day to throw last night and did absolutely nothing. He was not pressured once. He's so focused on his primary receiver, that he missed several open receivers.

6. He inspires no confidence in the team. In fact the frustration from the rest of the offense is already starting to show.

Julmiste is not much better, but that's for another thread. I definitely agree that I do not want to see Banks on the field for us again!

time to give it to louis g

give up on this year? no, i expect louis g to capitalize on this opportunity and become a star.

doing the same thing and expecting different results is silly.

banks should have been 3rd  on depth chart

i have  said banks doesn't have it since early  last year

we need a qb that throw the ball to a receiver and a  freshman or sophomore can do it.we don't need a junior or senior qb to win games.that is a myth

we need a real offense.our gimmick offense isn't working
