i wouldnt go that far...  we had the ball on uconns goaline and got stuff 4 straight times. well, actually if i remember right grothe got sacked on 4th down on a stupid pass play!

How about a miss (or two?) against RU, two against UConn, and one against Cincy. Lost by 3, lost by 7, lost by 5. If he hits all of those, we are in position at the end of the game to kick for the win, and never see the Sun Bowl (which I have forgotten by now).

I see you like to play the "if" game...I like to play it too. If the defense holds Rice to just 100 yards instead of 190 we win. If Grothe doesn't throw a pick six and an INT inside UConn's 10 we win the game. If there' only 2 turnovers instead of EIGHT, we beat Cinci.

Alvarado is the FG kicker because he is the best available on the team, the coaching staff will make a change  when there is a better option.

He's still got all summer to improve.  Hopefully the new kid  coming in can give the existing kickers some competition and make them step their game up or take their jobs.  Delbert has all summer to get himself sorted out as a kicker.

BadBull, are you Alvardo's buddy or something? You the only one here who thinks he can actually kick field goals. All last season he was horrible. There is no way he should be kicking field goals for us this year when we brought in a great kid. He needs to stick to punting and worrying about his hair cut.

Relax guys it is spring.  I am not sure why you see CJL's loyalty to his players as such a bad thing.  No doubt come August the best player will be handling the kicking.
