It says that in the past two scrimmages of the spring, he has gone 4-11 in field goals and 2-4 on extra points. Leavitt then goes on to say that Alvarado will get the first opportunity, then Teachey, then the new kid we have coming in. How much longer are we going to have to put up with Alvarado's crap? Obviously this kid cannot kick, so why is Leavitt still behind him so much? This is getting out of control. I think its time that we let some one else step in and see what they can do.

How long did Ben Williams start? The one negative I see in Leavitt is it takes ALOT for him to pull an uperclassman.

I just rewatched the Auburn game the other night.  Maybe CJL should do the same.  :furious

Sounds like the new kid will get the start if he can kick straight.

Alvarado is a punter and only a punter

Guest Mr. AKA

Go ask some soccer players if they want to try out, in fact maybe they should hold tryouts for the entire student body

Down by 1-2 with a field goal chance to win the game, let's just go for the TD....

Of all the Bulls who played in the Sun Bowl, Alvarado had the best game...3 for 3 on field goals. He's the starter until someone shows more ability. Give the kid a break, you guys are starting to sound like WVU fans.

Sun Bowl? Really?

How about a miss (or two?) against RU, two against UConn, and one against Cincy. Lost by 3, lost by 7, lost by 5. If he hits all of those, we are in position at the end of the game to kick for the win, and never see the Sun Bowl (which I have forgotten by now).

As for his 4-for-11 performance so far, I just read that Tiger Woods has won 4 of his 11 starts in the Masters. That doesn't seem too bad. Personally, if I had to bet on Tiger winning this year, or Delbert making a clutch FG, my money would be on Tiger...same stats.

Don't think that I hate Alvarado, he is actually a really good punter in my opinion, just shouldn't be doing the place kicking.

bad example,

Alvarado is a good punter but  a subpar fg kicker.  i dont expect him to be all world and make every kick but he could of clinched some of our games last year had he made some chip shots.  instead, we are biting our finger nails to the end.

****... did Leavitt piss away a good kicker or what two season ago? What was the kid's name who wanted a schollie... Orlando Bull really hit things on the head though with his analysis... although we shouldn't have to rely on a kicker... he did kick us out of a great BCS bowl game.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
