I can definitely see UCF winning CUSA again.  It's the worst conference in the FBS, so that always helps.

I still LOL at the Golden Shower fans who think that they would be competitive in the Big East.  Always funneh.

Looks like they have a tough C-USA schedule with some difficult road games. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win it.

What exactly is a "tough C-USA schedule"?

An oxymoron ...

A new name discussed was SMU.  That is an interesting name, at least they have a little history.

Judy Genshaft was actually the president that introduced SMU into the conversation at the meeting apparently.  SMU would make a good travel partner for TCU and might help TCU remain with the commitment to the league.  Both being in Dallas though might raise questions.

Have a link to Judy bringing that up, or is this the UCiF spin machine at work?

Do we have to assume there is an evil ulterior motive?

I think ucfknight would have to agree that SMU at least has more prestige and history than UCF.  I do question bringing in two Dallas teams.

Actually, perhaps ucfknight believes that if they are looking at SMU, that would also make UCF an option.

Personally, if we are going to keep this thing together, might as well go to 12 teams.  That would almost assuredly make UCF a viable candidate.

Where's the NY Times article? All I get when I Google "UCF NY Times" is articles about violations ...

Look under Bianchi's article in the sentinel from earlier this week or last...he links everything there.  Look I don't want into the Big East, now.  It's not going to exist, anymore.  It's the principle of everything.  My question is...why does any of this surprise you?  You knew Genshaft's agenda vs. UCF since USF began football.  Other school presidents are aware and her tactics may cause USF a conference.  Why did Pitt and Cuse want out so bad?  The went to the ACC, not the other way around.  The ACC just figured, we better be sure.  The Big 12 presidents are football minded and are fighting to stick together for the benefit of all of the schools.  Do you think they want to deal with Genshaft??  They know how she works and how selfish she is.  At least they're going to now....thanks to UCF!!!  hahahaha!!!

I'm not going to Bianchi's site, Goldie ... Please supply the link.

It was actually the Boston Globe, not NY Times.  I stand corrected.

I actually heard it was the TCU president that brought up SMU.  They used to hate each other and thus why TCU jumped CUSA for the MWC.  But since have garnered a good relationship and TCU would have a deep routed rivalry in place, until they create new ones in the BE as the years go on.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
