Since this now seems to be settled, I'd really like to know what Smith's rationale was to go into a situation knowing he might not see starting QB duties until the 2014 season.

He could have seen the field at Louisville much sooner.

I said it seemed settled. I was referring to him staying at UCF.

Godfrey had a **** good season ...It wasn't so much the height but the combination height/weight ...He just looked kind of fragile out there, but could be deceiving ... he is going against CUSA "defenses", though, so it's probably not a big deal.

Godfrey showed great composure in high pressure situations/ downs as a true freshmen. Some guys 'have it' and that's what I see in Godfrey despite his height, I hope he does put on some weight in the offseason to prevent the nagging injuries

Any player can get hurt at any time. Godfrey has that position locked up for the next 3 years so I guess if you are Smith you redshirt and put 2 years between you and hope to work in some snaps by Godfrey's Jr/Sr year. I'm guessing he is the same type of QB so the system there wouldn't have to change.

Their previous home, Red McEwen Field, was perhaps the worst college facility in the southeast.

I know he's a UCF homer through and through, but isn't there a better way to word what he said?  It just seems borderline rude.  Any thoughts?

Wouldn't expect anything less from that clown.  Dude is a UCF homer of the highest caliber and will take shots at USF on any given occasion.

That said, he isn't that far off on that assessment. Thankfully, we don't have to worry about that anymore.

I agree with him that The Red was horrible, but it seems like a slap in the face and "backwards compliment".  Just doesn't seem like good writing.  There has to be a better way to say that our facilities suck while still being classy.

I think Brandon was my first introduction to UCF fan many many many moons ago over on the ESPN message boards. I was an Internet message board virgin, just getting my feet wet on the USF board there (even before finding this place) and was bombarded with the whining and moaning about not playing them ... I honestly had to look up UCF because I had no ******* clue who they really were. The only connection I had back then was that Marquette Smith, a pretty big time hs player, transferred there from FSU, my previous team of choice ... and the whining, in one form or another, hasn't stopped since.
