Mind numbing UCF/USF drivel, et al

Much like our #2 ranking of the past, this is just representative of their body of work thus far, not how good of a team they are.  We all know they probably couldn't beat any of the Big 3 or us if going head to head.

Kudos to them for having a great year thus far.  That Godfrey kid is a keeper and could catapult them to a conference title.

Their loss to KSU looked less bad after KSU put a hurting on Texas. And NC State is a decent football team in the hunt for the ACC championship game. But at the same time, those are the only two AQ teams they've played, and Houston is pretty garbage this year. If they win out they deserve a BCS top 25 ranking going into their bowl game, but not much higher than 25.

Which is why most rankings (and statistics) are garbage. We need a playoff.

As a ddeicated Knights fan, it means ZERO,. Just like our compiled  D stats...our strenght of schedule is weaker than most we are compared to. Now, rank us against other non BCS teams, that would be fair.....sort of.

Wins are the measure against tough opponents. We are better...but we have yet to beat a BCS team and win a Bowl. When we do that we will be legit in my mind. This is nice to read, but of Zero value. G luck next week.

Interestingly enough our rankings have come when we beat other ranked teams.  UCiFs body of work this year is less than impressive so I don't give this ranking much thought.

I think a UCF-USF game this year would be 50/50 pending on the USF team that shows up.

If GOL wasn't so stuck on Calabrese early on, they probably would have beaten NCSU. As soon as Godfrey came in, they stormed back, and just ran out of time. Calabrese also threw a pick six right before they pulled him. The KSU loss in the final minutes was on the defense...one of those lapses. Their defense has been a little shaky in the last game or two, but the offense is putting up points, and the defense is making key plays when needed.

I'll take them ranked over Miami or UF.

Oh geez, if UCF somehow manage to go undefeated, imagine what their local writers would say. You don't believe the national media would pick this up too, just like BSU and TCU for the past 3-4 years.  Or their fans go ape crazy, wanting a shot at those top tier BCS ranking schools.

um they have already lost 2 games so they can't go undefeated buddy.

You obviously have not heard of the 'moral victory' clause in the Orlando sports enviroment.
