A Jimmy Johns opened in Knights Plaza last fall so it can't be struggling that bad. There are a lot of students in those surrounding towers to keep it afloat

Trust me, its struggling pretty badly. A few guys like Tony Peluso (Sp) former Disney Entertainment guy are part of the team thats trying to rebrand the plaza. They even took the project to the Rosen College students hoping they could spark some ideas.

I think a reason may be that there aren't any classrooms out there, IIRC, and it doesn't get the traffic that the student union gets. The dorms near there are helping some I guess. I'd have liked it out there if it was around when I attended. I liked the SU, but it was too much commotion for me to eat in peace and/or study, and me going to the library was basically signing up to take a nap on the 3rd floor

Bingo. There isnt enough traffic and right now, there is nothing drawing students in.

apparently she's from Tampa? if so it's inexcusable to make that mistake, both schools have to deal with this....if it was someone from out of state I could understand a little but she wants to be Governor and she doesn't have enough attention to detail to get it right.....good luck getting any votes

UM wasn't on the SEC's list.  So not they won't be moving.  That being said,  the ACC is a better fit for UM.

Is UCF still holding out for that SEC invite?
