No,

Marcus chose UCF over Iowa and the like because we offered :  Superb Academics/State of the Art facilities.

Oh, brother...the old UCiF "facilities" argument.

STAY-DEE-YUM!!!!1!one!

Actually, this is the one, and only, time that a Kanigit can say that and be credible. Their basketball arena is pretty nice and not a Blue Light special like the BHNFP ...

Chad,

Jermaine Taylor's dad wasn't the greatest basketball player ever

How did I avoid it?

Stanford and Butler are fine programs, but neither has ever been consistently great. In fact Butler will have a tough year.

You're makinglitters from Stanford and Butler to be a lot more than they are.

why couldnt usf have both of them

In order for that to have happen USF would have had to taken Marcus over Mike Burwell and that would have been a down grade imo.

Marcus Jordan was not recruited by a single hign major school until very late in the process. He really played hard down the stretch to earn the offers he did and UCIF was a good choice by him. He'll represent himself well there.

Jordan Dumars didn't need to prove himself late and already had his school chosen.

ok u guys can dog are underachieving football program but our basketball program has actually been solid for the most part making the transition from a-sun to cusa

Maybe ucif can become the first "basketball school" in the state...  :D

Seriously, UF has 2 national titles in  hoops and they still can't fill their arena. FSU has beaten UF for 3 consecutive years in basketball and neither FSU or UF fans really care or make a big deal about it.... basketball is an afterthought in florida.

Jermaine Taylor's dad wasn't the greatest basketball player ever...

Oklahoma never made an offer, just started talking to him. The kid has talent, but he's an undersized shooting guard who isn't a great scorer.

Big victory for UCF and would have been great for USF. but let's not make a Buick a Mercedes...he'll probably average 10 a game over his career and move on.

Joe, if he is so undersized then why did Stanford and Butler throw a full ride his way?  Also, nice dodge about the Jermaine Taylor question. I saw MJ jr pay with the big boys in the MJ classsic and dunk the hell out of the ball  in Madison square garden.

Jermaine Taylor wasn't a great player until his senior year. He would've been average in the big east, especially with teams double teaming him.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
