I honestly don't know why people have a problem with other fans doing the wave.  When it's being done, it looks like at least 75 - 80% of the fans are doing it so it looks to me like the majority of people like doing it regardless if it's been done for decades.  I agree that it should not be done when we have the ball, but get over it and stay seated if you don't want to do it - I've certainly sat out my share and have never been bothered by anyone.   It's not disrespectful to visiting fans, there are no offensive words involved, the little kids especially love it, and it's a great lower-body workout (okay that's a reach).  To keep trying to start some type of campaign on a message board to stop the wave is wasted effort.  It will die out when everyone is ready for it to.

let's get back to the main focus of this thread--- the overrated chant. Wave all you want-- like I can stop you. If it helps-- I also hate the 2 bits cheer. there-- chew on that while you're at it.

I'll be more than happy to get back to the overrated chant.  I'm glad you admit to being the one that went off topic, and I apologize if I chose your statement to finally post something about people complaining about the wave,  but I've just seen it so many times before and it's my opinion that most people like it and it's not worth trying to end it.  I certainly want you to share your opinion - it's what we do here.  Don't get so upset.

By the way I gag on the 2 bits cheer - I believe our section booed that one guy out a while ago and haven't seen him in a long time - again, this was because it got to the point where most of the people tired of it.

Overrated?  Hate it for all the reasons that have already been posted.
