I'd say neither.  Its a team game.  Its all about wins and losses not personal trophies.  Who cares who wins the Heisman?

I agree it's a team game, that's why you so often see someone fall out of contention for the Heisman after their team suffers a defeat.  It's an award you really can't win if your team isn't in contention for a National Championship.  With all the upsets going on this season this may be the year for that exception though.
