Do you think the National Media believes the Bulls will lose to RU?

It just seems everything I read about Thursday game, has us losing or at least has a negative spin about us.    I think  lots of  national sport writers are expecting our ride to come crashing down on Thursday night.

Even our supporters like Mandel, are saying that it would not surprise him if we lose.

I just do not know but the BULLS have to be really pumped for this game.   The game at RJS last year.   The video and billboard.  Leavitt's love for Coach Greggy.  The New York Area Media.  MORE than 300 press passes have been issues.  Lots of Bowl representation.  Large National television exposure(I am hoping for a rain delay for the Red Sox/Indians game) 

This is our STATEMENT game, that we belong with the elite.

America IS COMING to SEE US and we needed to show them that we are and should be at least  #2 based on our abilities.

I am sure Leavitt will take this all of this negativity I've been reading and make one helluva of a chip to put on the Bulls' shoulders.  South Florida versus Tradition

I really do not understand why this game is getting so much pub.

We're facing an UNRANKED Rutgers team with wins over such powerhouses as Norfolk State, Navy, and Syracuse, and losses to Cincy and a mediocre Maryland team.

It's obvious this game is getting all this attention because we are THE story in NCAA football right now.  It has VERY little to do with Schiano's boys at this point.

That being said, am I glad it's getting all this pub? 

Oh yeah!

Especially since I'll be there to see it in-person.  I was hopiing both teams would be unbeaten going in.

It's weird to read, a #2 team going against an unranked, and it seems like a even money game (well it's pretty close last I checked).

If this was #2 Florida, or #2 LSU going up there, it would just be any other incoming ass whipping, but since it's us it's what it is.

I don't really blame the media, nobody was really watching when we took down Auburn and WVU... a lot people have heard it, but weren't watching, but now they are. 

This game is the biggest game this season (we say that a lot huh), simply because as someone said above, it's a chance to silence all the critics, and to make a statement.  We must must must take it to them on their field and then get ready for Uconn.

Win Win Win Win.. stop talking about championship games, stop worrying about rank, just win baby.. just win.

If you havent noticed, every game for us is a statement game at this point.

While some programs need one statement win to announce their arrival as a program, it looks like we need 5...or one more than the amount we had the week before.

We need to crush and kill all those who dare to step on the field with us from here on out if we wish to maintain our #2 rankings. 

The National Media is just looking for a reason to put LSU above us.  We can't give them that chance.

1. Its an away game

2. Everyone thats ranked as high as we are has lost.

3. We face abother upper-echeleon RB in the country, and he actually has a good QB to complement him.

                However,

1. Our Defense is still nasty

2. Grothe and the team remembers last year and has to be as pissed as I am about it.
