I hope people are confused as to what to wear at the game. I'm tired of seeing EVERYTHING red in that stadium.

Alright, I have some inside information on this. Can't name my source, but it's pretty reliable.

Basically, it's not a definate yet. The coaches are going to discuss it. The QB Teel and team manager Jimmy Johnson have approached the coaching staff about wearing the black uniforms for the USF game. They  think that it will get the fans in the game, and Teel is worried that if the fans see all of the grass stains that George Selvie is putting on his red jersey, they will lose interest. The manager is on board having been quoted as saying "grass stains are a ***** to get out of those jerseys"

Coaches are kicking it around. Ray Rice apparently threw his jersey at Johnson the last time they wore them saying that his had a stain on it. The jersey unfortunately hit Johnson in the head, ruining his hair for nearly an hour. This caused Rice to not be able to stretch properly for the game against Cincy where he was completely shut down. Johnson is considering filing charges, and may use the black jerseys as...well...blackmail. Since RU has only played one away game all season, Johnson is over worked with washing the home jerseys every week. The grass stains have gotten worse since RU is no longer playing teams like Buffalo, and sources say Johnson is ready to snap.

I don't get why teams try and shoehorn black uniforms in. Louisville looks dumb wearing their black uniforms. So would Rutgers, I imagine, because black's not part of their color scheme.

Someone related...but I remember the old bucs players saying they felt like panzies when they wore the old orange buc uniforms.  So mentally it may have an affect on the players.  Dont forget a large part of this game is mental.  Well...anyway we have a lot to talk about it seems.

I saw the highlights of the Syracuse game.........and those black pants looked HORRRRRRRRRRIBLE with the white shirts and red helmet.

I really dont get the whole "black fad" that's been going on for the past 3 years or so. Everyone wants to have a black uniform.......no matter how much they have to "stretch" their team colors to do so. Rutgers is the SCARLET knights, are they not? Black on black is just stupid.

It is a mental thing. It's something that may fire them up more than they already are. I worked last year when FSU wore black against Wake.... oh...uhhh..... nevermind.
