Excerpt from TampaBays10.com:

ESPN Reporter John Barr is spending three days in the Bay area, to do a story about the Bulls, “South Florida is a program on the rise and we were intrigued by that, we want to know why that's the case.” He says people have a different view of what USF is all about. “I think there's a perception in the northeast that it's just that little commuter school down in Florida and how on earth did they get so good so fast. But what a lot of people don't realize is, it's a huge school.” He calls it a successful school that now has an incredible football team, “If indeed it does play out, South Florida plays for a national championship that will go down as one of the most dramatic rises, really a historic achievement for a program that didn't even play football a little more than a decade ago.”

Barr believes people will continue to watch, because they want to see the little guy win. But to fans like Frank Coto, the Bulls are their big heroes, “USF is a serious organization now, going number one definitely.” So as the Bulls continue to charge their way to the top, all eyes are sure to stay on South Florida.

John Barr's story on USF is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 21st at 9:30 am on ESPN's Outside the Lines.

Love the pub (I hope - we'll see Sunday).  But I wish this reporter's visit wasn't happening during the short work week.

Can't wait to watch!  Great pub for USF to set the record straight for those who have been tainted by Saban's comments.

Hope it's a positive piece.  Inside the Lines didn't build its reputation on positive journalism.

Hope it's not along the lines of Saban's comments.

I wouldn't think they would shoot themselves in the foot like that--- except for that squirmy douchenozzle Jeremy Schapp--- he'll lower himself into a pile of feces if he thinks it will get him ratings.

Former Orlando Sentinel sports writer/recruiting guru Bill Buchalter was interviewed in-home yesterday by ESPN's "Outside The Lines" to give his perspective on the effect that TheJim's recruiting has had on your success so far.  They spent over 3 hours at his place for the segment, in 3 different locations at the Buchalter expanse.  Look for the segment at 9:30 this coming Saturday on ESPN.

BTW, Mrs. Buchalter described our (UCF's) effort last Saturday as "pathetic" -  I couldn't disagree one whit.  Congrats on the win and the ranking.  You deserve both.
