Taurus is our #1 most reliable receiver, bar none. I keep waiting for Amarri to "get it." He is faster, taller, and can jump higher than any DB covering him if he would just hold on to the ball. I was going crazy in the 1st half yesterday, our receivers dropped 3 sure TDs. They've GOT to hold on to those balls.

IMO, the drops yesterday were due to waiting on the ball rather than aggressively snatching it.  If you wait for the ball it gives the defenders time to catch up and make a play on it, whether tackling the WR as he is trying to catch it or knocking the ball away.

I think that's the case with Amarri.  He needs to extend his long arms and snatch the ball.  He has good hands.

Hands of stone, indeed.

I've taken to calling them "The Featherstone Quadruplets."

Remember Featherstone from the movie "Necessary Roughness."

So apparetnyl, all the coaches need to do is teach them to say, "The ball is my friend" over and over while running their ruotes.

TJ is the best WR but Ben Williams has the best hands of the RBs & WRs.

I know that we scored 64...but if the WR's made cashed in on some catchable passes in the 1st half.....it would have been alot worse. We'll need them to make those plays this week.....

If the ball touches their hands they need to catch it.  nuf said

Hill save matt an int when he wrestled the ball away from the defender.

Maybe if Grothe just throws picks, we can wrestle the ball from the defender everytime. It might be more consistent than us trying to catch the ball ourselves! just kidding ;)

Ben Williams has been a solid receiver and he has shown that he can make some GREAT moves in space.

Problem is.... when he's in the backfield, he isnt IN that space.  I think if we incorporate him into some passing plays and use Ford in the backfield a little more, the defense will be stretched out more.

The hands of stone are only going to get worse this season, due to road games up north in the cold and in hostile environments.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
