The Rutgers game in Piscataway is the one game I feared most going into the season.  I still do - they will be fired up to host a top 5 team.  Their power running game and play action over the top are tough to defend, and the USF D will have to play a great game.  The USF O seems to be finding its stride thought and should have success against RU.

Can't wait!  Go Bulls!

we stopped wv

we beat auburn in bama

usf should beat rutgers and stop rice

usf stopped  a better runner in smith saturday

If USF can bring the pressue on Mike Teel then I like our chances. Once we rattle Mike Teel, we can contain Ray Rice by lining up the box. The key is to rattle Teel early.

Guest BasketBull.

Our guys have the swagger now, so being @ Rutgers shouldn't affect them.

Also, Rutgers got exposed in their 2 losses. Our staff is great at coming up with ways to take advantage of weaknesses.

My only concern is turnovers but I think our guys have gotten that out of their system.

I expect the Bulls to win by 14 pts or more.

I will add my 1.5 cents for what it is worth.

HUGE HUGE game!  The next game is always a huge game.  Forget the rankings, forget what other people are saying, forget who we are supposed to be better than.  Any team that we step onto the field against has the capacity to beat us, just ask LSU, USC or Cal.  Leavitt is a master at this and far smarter than I am and he knows these things and seems to have the guys with this same mindset.

Would I be happy with a BE championship?  Are you kidding? Yes, I would be happy with it.  It seems like a dream and everything that I would have wanted to come into the season wanting.  While I am thrilled to be ranked, I am more thrilled that we are getting the exposure and helping our coaches recruit Florida and the US from a position of credibility against any other program in the country.

I love my Bulls and their future come what may.  I can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings.....one game at a time.  ;D

If George Selvie plays big (DL penetration) and O doesn't turn the ball over, USF should win going away.  USF is better than 2006.  Rutgers is a lesser team than last season.  USF won at Auburn. The home field advantage there doesn't get much bigger in front of 85Kish SEC fans.  The Bulls beat WVU on nation TV on Friday nite so that's not a factor. This game is about taking care of business.  If they play Bull ball the W will come back to Tampa.

We have to play hard.  We cannot afford to let up even a little.  On that note as long as our D comes to play like they have most of the season we should be fine.  Teel isn't that great of a QB and if we control Rice, our O should get the work done.  Every game is a big game now.

UCF was pointless expect for the pride issue.  If we lost we lost our NC hopes (Do we really, I mean really think that is possible even if we win out....sorry money talks)  We won and that's about it...we got some style points.

Not for nothing - I am a USF grad living in Philly going to law school.  I go to school with A LOT of Rutgers grads and they are gunning for us.  Also, the weather here has sucked for the last few days.  i don't know what it is supposed to be on Thursday but it got down to 50 here last night and it felt a lot colder (lack of humidity maybe?).  I know USF can win this game but I think it is going to be really difficult.  If USF can limit the turnovers we have a good chance of winning.  Just my $.02.

I am going to a game watch here in South Florida. I am told the Orange Bowl committee will be present with the alumni watching the game and such.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
