...in honor of today's result, please consider making a remix of this 1980s classic. (Links to MP3 file)

From this web page. Scroll down to the "radio ads" section.

Today's result will make next year's "what should our smack t-shirts say" question a lot easier. This is one of those scores you bring up for years. Ask any Texas fan about "66-3", or any Gators fan about "31-4."

Ha! I used to have a Commodore 64.

A remix of McCartney's When I'm 64 could work too.

I'm doing okay. I stopped posting here when I realized I lacked the necessary fanaticism. But I read the board every day and still root loudly for the Bulls. I thought the "64" angle was too funny not to post. And since I've following the Bulls' various web forums for years now (who here remembers this board?) I can't resist the opportunity to laugh at those guys up I-4. Their rants are much, much funnier if you were around when they actually thought they were better than us. You can't spell "schadenfreude" without U-C-F.

I live in Omaha now, so if Coach Prado ever gets us to the CWS I'll be here posting directions to the party at my house. (If those greedy twerps at the NCAA don't move the CWS out of here by then. The NCAA is trying to extort a new stadium out of the city by threatening to move, MLB-style.)

Hey, now, there's an idea.

Play the YouTube video to hear the original song (there's a few seconds of other speech at the beginning) then scroll down to read the wacky alternative lyrics:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-2ehpVGCs4&mode=related&search=

(verse 1)

When I get older, losing my hair

Many years from now

Will you still be sending me a schedule whine?

Poke Matt Gro-the six million times?

If I get ranked up at number three,

would you say "what for?"

Will you still need me,

Will you still screed me,

When I'm sixty-four?

(bridge 1, slow)

You'll be old-er, too.

And, since you've failed to learn,

Worse than F. A. U.

(verse 2)

We could be handy writing a check

When your cash is gone

You can lose at Ray-Jay half a dozen times;

Once a dec-ade play at the Bright.

Wins that are mor-al, blowing your leads -

That's what you're known for.

Will you still egg me,

Will you still beg me,

When I'm sixty-four?

(bridge 2, different tempo)

Ev-ery sea-son you come talk-ing trash about the Gol-den Knights,

that it is your year.

(slower)

We shall blitz and gain.

Off-ense brought to its knees.

Kev-in, Kyle, and Mike.

(verse 3)

Send me a postcard, drop me a line

Saying, "chick-ie-poos."

Indicate precisely how it's Cen-tral's day;

Call us outlaws, cheating away.

In-sult Ben's wife, say "they're in what league?"

Make us run the score.

You'll still be dearly

paying O'Leary,

When I'm sixty-four.

Hoo!

GarySJ,

I also live in Omaha (Papillion actually) and have a few USF Bulls on base who get together for games...like yesterday when some cheap ucifers came over cuz they didn't want to pay the extra for the U.  Was joyous having my kids (11 and 8) taunt a grown man almost to tears.  We should do an Omaha watch party sometime.
