TAMPA - The NFL is taking notice of No. 5 USF.

Scouts from the Giants, Redskins, Raiders and Browns attended Wednesday's practice, likely to watch cornerback Mike Jenkins.

During a chat on ESPN.com draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. said Jenkins is likely a mid-first round selection and has him listed at No. 10 on his big board. Kiper lists the 22-year-old as the top defensive back in the country.

Kiper has also listed cornerback Trae Williams and linebacker Ben Moffitt, both seniors, as potential first-day selections (rounds 1-3).

I hope the scouts don't see the juniors...  ;D

The Raiders love to build around great man-to-man corners and their daddy CB (not gonna try to spell his name) is leaving in free agency this year...

That would make sense... Although the Raiders may be playing too well to get our boy if he goes high enough.

Glad to see Moffitt getting love as a first-day pick too!

Me too - I do hope Moffitt lands somewhere; he deserves it.

If he leads the nation in sacks with 20+ and we are in a BCS game you might have seen your last of Mr Selvie this year.

Enjoy it while you can.  That defense could look real different next year.

i think even if he had those numbers he'd still be back, at least through his Junior year

Yeah the draft will actually be worth watching this year.

I can't imagine at his current weight that he'd be a first rounder now though...

Stay for another year, repeat the stats (close enough) and gain 15 pounds while showing the same burst as this year... That'll get him to be a top 10 pick after next season...
