The little tidbit about his little being poked 6 million times on facebook was on it. 

Then there was a poll about who is the most likely undefeeated team to go down and we had the least amount of votes, Mizzou won.

Palmer's response: "Grothe's is an outstanding football player but he has only accounted for 6 TDs, you look at Tim Tebow he's accounted for 18 TDs, so far, so there is a little bit of discrepancy there, not taking anything away from Mat Grothe, I think he is an outstanding QB."

Grothe hasn't done enough to be talked about as a Heisman candidate...I'm not sure why people think he should be

I think Grothe is one of the better sophomore QBs but heisman? Come on, thats just crazy. Maybe next year, but probably not until his senior year will he even be considered.

What about #95 George Selvie?....Doesn't he have more sacks and TFL as an individual compared to other combined team statistics?

I agree, Selvie should be up there, the best players are not always on offense

Absolutely agree, Selvie should  be in the hunt but it seems only the pretty boys from the big programs get any nods.  Sad!  :-\

The irony is, the Heisman has a bias on offensive players instead of its intended reward towards the best college football player.

Selvie should be considered but he won't be.  Charles Woodson was the only defensive player that picked up the Heisman and he did play a bit of offense.  He also was at the center of plenty of exciting plays.  A defensive lineman doesn't provide the excitement that the Heisman looks for.

Too bad.  Selvie is definitely one of the best players in the NCAA that I've seen so far.
