Heinz Field is far more equitable between Pitt and the Steelers because the commission that "owns" the stadium actually made a reasonable deal with the Steelers, instead of the bend-over-backward-for-the-Glazers one the TSA made. Many, many of the problems we have at Raymond James would never happen at Heinz Field because the City of Pittsburgh would never allow them to happen. Despite the fact that Raymond James was paid for with a *larger* portion of public funds than Heinz Field, Raymond James is "The Stadium of the Bucs" and Heinz Field is "The home of the Steelers and the Panthers."

Long story short, politics have long been corrupt here, and Raymond James and the TSA are no different.

Heinz field was built with both teams in mind.

Ray Jay was built with only for the Bucs and USF as an afterthought...

Had they known we would be a top 5 program in only a few short years, we may have gotten a better deal.  There is nothing that can be done now.

Thanks to the Bucs/Glazers we have a state of the art stadium to play in, without the Bucs/Glazers we probably wouldn't be where we are today.  Old Tampa Stadium was comparable to the Citrus bowl.  We'd be playing in the old Tampa Stadium had the Glazers not forced the city of Tampa to pay for Ray Jay.  Up until recently this city only belonged to the Bucs.  I really don't understand all the Glazer hate.

We are very lucky.

Imagine trying to recruit kids to play in the old sombrero...

Why spend the money to paint the field?  Only the highlights are going to be on TV.  Quit kidding yourselves only USF fans are going to go watch ESPNU.

Well, because the highlights will show a lot of USF touchdowns in Buccaneer endzones...

That's part of CJL's recruiting plan.  He wants recruits to know we play in an NFL stadium!
