USF to be ranked #3 tomorrow?

CBS announcers for Florida LSU game just said "South Florida will be in the top four tommorrow."  They were laughing about it.....

Nobody has merits to jump us.  BC would be the only reasonable one, SINCE THE OTHERS YOU GUYS THINK CAN/SHOULD JUMP US HAVE LOSSES.  So what if the team that handed their ass an L "wasn't a bad team or is a good team".  They have an L.  They might have an impressive ranked win, but so do we.  And guess what?  No L.

BC's SoS is not better than our own.  No reason for them to jump us, but at least it wouldn't be a total travesty like OU or UF.

Again I will repeat, there is NO reason why a 1 loss team should be ahead of us.  After USC loss to Stanford, our close game with FAU doesn't look so bad does it?  We still won and thats all that matters.

We should be #3 tomorrow.  Anything else is just political BS.

BC beat a 1-AA TEAM by 10 last week...

how can you justify that as reasonable?

at the same time, however..FLA was ranked ahead of us in the coaches poll this week when a team A TEAM WE BEAT AT THEIR HOUSE they lost to at THEIR HOUSE

so guess its possible.

You guys can harp on the "we played like crap" all you want, but the reality is, this season has not been kind to the top ten, so its a breath of fresh air when a top 10 team, deserved or not, holds on to win ON THE ROAD (Don't forget, we did play on the road).  FAU is actually a pretty respected team thanks to their coach and Polo being guys that are known.

USF could finish from anywhere from 3-6 tomorrow, with the way this year has gone, I don't think you can drop an undefeated team for a 1 loss team. 

It'll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Tomorrow's polls will be interesting to be sure ... and aren't I oh so lucky that I have to be at work when they drop? (please note sarcasm)

That being said however, and the fact that I didn't get to see todays game at all (just know the final score and what I've read here) I doubt we will move to #3, but we might break into the top 5. Remember that the polls are, in my opinion, political more than anything. If they weren't then Florida would have dropped more than they did this week, however with their 2nd loss in a row they should drop out of the top 10. At the same time they were "supposed" to lose that game since LSU is ranked #1, and with both WI and USC losing Florida might not move at all.

Will teams jump us? Possibly. I again reiterate the political (and financial) nature of the AP/Coaches poll. Ultimately my friends it matters only in one scheme ... the BCS poll which should emerge this week or next week ... I don't recall which, but SOON. The other thing that matters is that we continue to do what we have done every game this season, and that is WIN.

No matter how you look at it, and no matter how many people will laugh about it ... the USF Bulls are the Top Ranked and Only Undefeated Team in Florida Football ... at least among the teams you know. ;-)  We are also the top ranked team in the Big East, though we may not be the #1 team in the Big East ... and that is only (currently) because we've only had 1 conference game.

Time will tell ... but we need to put FAU behind us and concentrate on the Knights. A Knights team who should not be overlooked. A Knights team that gave Texas trouble. I for one do not want any loss this season, but certainly do not want our first (only?) loss to be to UCF. That would hurt ... A LOT.  Mind you, I am confident in the talent of our squad and we are looking to be sold out again but Jim needs to do what he does best and get the team focused on next week as soon as possible.

Pretty sure that the Polls will be released on MONDAY morning. Boise State vs New Mexico State is Sunday night on ESPN.
