Ummm, yeahhh, you do realize that Williams averaged 7.4 yards per touch yesterday, right?

This is pissing me off!!!

I get pissed off when uninformed fans get on a website 8 hours after the game and start running smack without taking the time to actually LOOK to see if the reason is already out there, which it was.

Ben did a heck of a job yesterday no question.  I hope Mike Ford feels like he really could have let his team down yesterday as well.  

Having said that...just my opinion...looking at each RB talent wise I still list Mike Ford as the most explosive of all of them.  I think Ford could have had a big day yesterday as well and we really could have used that punishing style.  

Don't get me wrong though...Ben has earned the starting spot and I would rather have him in the lineup more than anyone else in obvious passing situations and at the beginning of games.

I don't have time to search through every post to find something.  Everyone in my section was asking the same question about Ford too.  And yeah ben started to play better in the second half but he is a better outside runner and is great in open space.  I don't see why Ford isn't getting at least half the carries in the other games.

With Ford or without Ford, the running game really wasn't the problem.  It really hasn't been all season.  The passing game is not clicking.  That has nothing to do with Ford.  Ben Williams had 186 yards and 4 TDs.  Grothe went for over 120 yards on the ground.  First time over 100 yards in his career. 

What does Ford not getting carries have to do with the passing game not working?  That is what is wrong with our offense.

Bingo.  I was concerned about Ford not playing during the game, as well.  However, Williams stepped it up, and now we know WHY Ford wasn't playing.  It is our passing game that is missing, and needs to be focused on at this point.

You’re not alone... We were all scratching our heads when we (my group) found out after the game

No clue why he 1) traveled with the team and 2) dressed for the game.

a wise coach like jl (psych degree) does not bury a kid for a mistake, he give him the stick of not playing, but give him the carrot of traveling and hearing the fans call for him. this amounts to a swift kick in the pants..if Ford responds well, JL may just have unleased a laser focused superstar and the rest will be history.

missing class can cover a wide range of issues so final thoughts will have to wait for facts.

that said...i am beginning to have my doubts about ford's  judgement (and ability to remain on this team long term) this reminds me too much of C4. What will happen when Amarri leaves will Ford move forward or fall apart.

I hope and wish the best for this young man, great story, he has overcome much, and i hope he will stand among the best USF has graduated like JR, Snake.
