... That's a temporary condition, of course. The Big Three will always have down cycles but also always can be expected to recover because they enjoy resources and luxuries USF will never have.

You still hear Florida players at other programs talk about how they grew up watching Florida State and dreamed of playing there. USF isn't going to duplicate Bobby Bowden's sustained run of excellence, so not many kids will grow up dreaming of playing for the Bulls ...

This guy sure knows the future pretty well. I wonder if he is a betting man.

I think we should set our sights higher than the Big 3.  Does anyone really care about this mythical classification?  I sure don't.

Lets just be the best team in the state, year in and year out.

Go Bulls!!!

If we start winning B.E. championships does this crap really matter. I don't care if the other three schools think we are for real or not. I only care about winning the Big East! The rest will take care of itself. The more BCS bowls we go to the more appealing our program looks, period! As far as kids not dreaming about playing for the Bulls, maybe not now, but remember we are in a large metro area. The exposure we are getting now will start building a young fan base for us REAL SOON. Remember a top notch program takes time to build, and being a highly ranked team right now is a tool we can use to expedite our progress to become a top tier program. We have to be consistent, and continue to win and cash in on our exposure. The rest will take care of itself! ;D

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
