Google News Alerts

I know some of you already use the Google alert service, but for those that don't, you should check it out. I get all USF Bulls related news sent straight to my inbox as soon as they are posted online. And if you have Gmail, they get sent to the same "conversation" so you won't have an inbox with 40 different emails everyday. Reporters are writing USF related articles at an incredible pace so this is the best way to keep up.

Just for clarification, it's not as soon as they are posted -- but as soon as Google finds them and posts them to the database.  It can often be as long as a few hours between when the news site posts the article and Google's spiders crawl the site and grab the article.

HOWEVER -- the alerts are awesome ways to keep up.  I have several that email me once per day... you can also create an RSS feed of news articles using the news.google.com website -- PM me if you want to know how to do this.

Can you put multiple words in "search items". I put USF South Florida Bulls. Will that work fine?

Yes ... you can even do terms like "South Florida" Bulls ... or a comibined term like  "University of South Florida"  -- including the quotes.
