My thoughts on NFL bound guys (at some point not just this year) are:

Mike Jenkins

George Selvie

Trae Williams

Ben Moffit

Tyrone McKenzie

Richard Clebert

Nate Allen

Taurus Johnson

Walter Walker

Amarri Jackson

Some may be drafted, but all should get a shot at worst as an UFA.  There are other guys who have potential but they just haven't played enough to even really consider yet, like Carlton Mitchell, Bruce Mopremier or Sampson Genus.

Even if Genus turns out to be an all-conference type player, I doubt he'll ever get much NFL consideration.

At just about 6-feet even, he probably won't even be given a chance.

Do not disagree.  Measurables may be problems with others of our kids too.  However, the fact that he is playing as a true freshman should tell you something about his strength and quickness at his size.

Can someone explain to me what exactly it means if a player is an All-American, and how do they achieve that status? I know of the term but not the specifics.

How is Amarri an NFL talent?

Is it just his size and speed?

I believe there is a rule that you can't leave for the draft before your Jr. year

No. The rule is you can not enter the draft until the third year after you graduated high school.

Technically, you don't have to go to college to enter the NFL draft.

Today, the National Collegiate Athletic Association recognizes College Football All-America Teams selected by the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News, and the Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF) to determine consensus All-Americans.

Uh, yeah.  Meaning they pick the best players at each position.  If you are one of the best at your position you're an All-American.  2nd Team All-American is just like it sounds, the next "team" of players voted to be the best.  There are also Freshmen All-Americans.

Amarri's size and speed will get him an NFL look.  The way his season is going I would be surprised if he actually was drafted since he still drops way too many balls and when he does catch it holds onto the ball like a loaf of bread.

Selve will be here for at the least his junior year to put mileage behind his newly set career sack record.

he should stay all 4 years

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
