Anyone have any info on where to tailgate for the FAU game?  Just the south lot or is there another lot recommended?  I did find this PDF on tailgating rules for FAU... http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/fau/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/07_stadium_policy.pdf

WHAT???

• No glass bottles are permitted on the property. We ask that you bring canned beverages.

• No kegs will be allowed on property. Anyone dispensing beer from a keg will be asked to leave and the keg may be confiscated by law enforcement officials.

• No golf carts or motorized scooters of any kind permitted.

• No generators, home speakers, or DJs may be used as it is in excess of what Florida Atlantic University

defines as a tailgate party.

• Stadium parking lots will open 4 hours prior to kick-off.

• After the game kick off, individuals have 20 minutes to clear the parking lot and enter the Stadium gates

or leave the premises.

And we thought RayJay was tough...

From our friends over at the FAU board... (link)

You'll find the same notice for most pro stadiums too.

* Glass bottles are fine;

* Just don't keep the keg out in the open;

* Generators are fine (I'm pretty sure they just dont want mobile DJ booths rolling in);

* Stadium lot "officially" opens 4 hours before kickoff, but we've never had any problems getting in earlier;

* I'm pretty sure they dont sweep the lot after kickoff, then again I'm always in my seat for the game;

And by the way, after the game they don't care how long you stay in the lots since all the cops leave.

Phew, worried for a moment. I have a very odd beer drinking regimine prior to games, and the beer doesnt come in cans.

We had 2 kegs last year for our game against FIU, and not surprisingly - thanks to the wonders of Beer Pong - we were able to float them both. And for the guy with the shopping cart keg, they might make you pay $5 to park  ;D

OK, what about location though?  Is everyone pretty much just going to the south lot?

South lot is definitely where it's at. The North side, or "premium parking" is a ghost town. South side has a stage set up for the live bands, kids games, alumni tents, ticket windows, and the most diehard FAU tailgaters.

    With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
