His basic argument that USF can't be the best football team in the state is because we don't have the tradition of the other schools, so we can't be??

well, i agree, i wouldn't call us the best team in the state just yet, it's a long season, and i want to see us go undefeated before i make that proclamation. or till we at least play another Florida team...

I have this feeling that we will begin posting as many things concerning UF's perception of USF on our board as UCF does with us on their board. I hope I'm wrong. We are USF. We are an outlier from the general population of start-up programs. No program will ever accomplish as much as we have in so little time. Hell, we were blown out by Elon 10 years ago.........now we're #6 in the nation. USF is USF

Yup alot of people here have the same raging hard on with UF that UCF does with us.  Why do you care what they say up there?  Also its a long season and we have to finish better than those teams to really have a valid claim to being the best in the state this year.  This is a marathon not a sprint, so lets not go around declaring ourselves this and that when we have a ton of games left to play/win to prove that.

Best Team is different than Best Program

Team is NOW

Program includes tradition, recruiting, etc.

We can be the best team,

but best program, no, not yet, not for a while.
