What was it that Lou Holtz said about a hypocrit?   "They complain about the sex and violence on their VCR"?    I think we can update that to someone who posts something positive about a person they have attacked for years without saying "Hey,I was wrong about this guy!"

That's clearly what he is trying to do.

I don't think Smazza's been hypocritical at all. Through all the talk, demands, absolutes, and pessimism that we've come to know and tolerate, one thing has always remained clear: He expects excellence. Now that Coach Leavitt has delivered what Smazza believes to be that excellence, he's giving him his props, plain and simple.

Perhaps it should be said that CJL didn't just become a good coach or recruiter this year, smazza happened to recognize it this year.  Call it a push and move on, there's still more room on the bandwagon.  Welcome aboard Steve, hope you stay the whole season!
